Adele-Louise Carter
Deputy Director of Learned Society and External Relations, BCS


Adele is the Deputy Director of Learned Society and External Relations within the BCS, a role which encompasses programme director for the BCS security community, Government relations and responses, and business development negotiator for BCS partnerships and commercial activities.

Adele has 20 years experience of the IT industry within a number of leading private sector organizations, including Business Development Director and MOD Systems Director at EDS, programme manager at a central government establishment, managing consultant at PA Consulting, and member of the Logica CLEF. Work has included successful management of bids from concept to delivery and reconstruction of a £700M MOD partnering contract.

Further along the business life-cycle, Adele has held the roles of culture and communications programme manager for over 2000 staff and service delivery manager.

Adele’s academic achievements support all the above from a technical degree and Chartered IT Professional to a Doctorate in Business Administration and Chartered Manager and her specialty is in the running of successful Public Private Partnerships. Adele was previously an officer in the Intelligence Corps.
