Singapore Exhibition and Convention Bureau (SECB)
The Singapore Exhibition & Convention Bureau (SECB) is a group of the Singapore Tourism Board (STB) that aims to establish Singapore as a dynamic business events destination where people, technology and ideas converge to create great value for customers.
As the lead government agency for the business events sector in Singapore, SECB assists international associations by providing comprehensive and impartial information on Singapore's meeting and exhibition facilities, incentive venues and industry partners.
We help to set up and facilitate arrangements with industry partners, including coordinating site inspections and making special arrangements for technical visits and special-interest study programmes. SECB works with organisers and other government agencies to ensure the successful staging of business events. We provide publicity support and offer brochures, visitor guides, maps, blank shells and posters for overprinting of meeting announcements. |

For conventions, SECB provides bidding and promotional assistance. In a typical bidding procedure, SECB assists bidders in determining the next open submission date for a bid to host the event, obtaining information on what needs to be included in the bid and in compiling a bid document. When a convention is confirmed to be staged in Singapore, SECB assists organisers in attendance-building by providing promotional booths, decorative items and collateral such as marketing videos and mass giveaways at related overseas conferences prior to the actual conference in Singapore. Arrangements could also be made for SECB staff to be present to promote Singapore and field questions on Singapore as a destination.
Singapore has been ranked Asia's top convention city for 23 consecutive years by the Union of International Associations. If there's anything predictable about the city, it's the meticulous precision in which a business event is organised and executed.
There is a wide array of world-class venues to choose from and accommodation is easily catered for - with over 30,000 rooms at more than 100 hotels around the city. Most of these venues have meeting facilities capable of seating anywhere from 20 to 20,000 people.
To create extra value, SECB offers customised financial support to associations to stage or expand their business event in Singapore. In addition to encouraging industry partners to develop new channels in-market for business events development, SECB also supports International Organisations who wish to establish a presence in Singapore as part of their expansion into the Asia-Pacific region.
